Combine the thrill of mountain trekking with the rich history of Morocco’s imperial cities on this 8-day journey. Start with a 3-day trek through Morocco’s scenic landscapes, where you’ll explore traditional Berber villages, lush valleys, and rugged trails. After your trekking adventure, dive into the cultural heritage of the imperial cities, visiting Fes, Meknes, and Marrakech.
– Upon arrival at Marrakech airport, you’ll be met by our local guide. After the transfer to Imlil, you’ll have the
opportunity to stop at the Asni souk if it’s a market day. Once in Imlil, you’ll enjoy a traditional Berber dinner.
After dinner, you’ll have free time to explore this charming Berber village, enjoy a mint tea and get to know
the local culture and people.
– After a traditional breakfast, we start our day at 9am. We’ll hand over our rucksacks to the support staff, who
will carry them on the mules.
– With our expert guide, we’ll take to the mule tracks towards the picturesque village of Armed, perched at
1,850 meters above sea level. where the mountain views will take our breath away, we’ll continue our trek
towards Sidi Chamharouch, at 2,350 meters, a place revered by pilgrims for its spiritual properties. Here, we’ll
stop for a tasty lunch, prepared on site by our cook.
– After lunch, we continue our ascent through the impressive scenery of the Atlas Mountains. We’ll pause for a
traditional tea at Imi n’Tifrite, before resuming our journey to the refuge.
– We reach Refuge Neltner, at 3,207 meters, where we spend the night in shared dormitories. On arrival, our
team will welcome us with a comforting cup of tea, followed by dinner to recharge our energies.
– We’ll need to get to bed early to be in shape for the next day’s ascent.
(4 to 5 hours’ walk)
– This day will be dedicated to fulfilling our challenge: reaching the summit of Toubkal, the roof of North
Africa.
– We’ll start our ascent at 4 a.m., after a quick breakfast. The route takes us first to the Akhbi n’Tizi pass, at
3,700 meters. Next, we cross a wide couloir to reach the Col du Toubkal at 3,950 meters, where we may have
the opportunity to admire a spectacular sunrise.
– From the Col, we continue our ascent along the Toubkal ridge, which takes us to the summit at 4,167 meters.
Here, after a three-and-a-half-hour hike, we’ll take a well-deserved break. We can enjoy a picnic while
admiring the exceptional views of the Atlas massif, green valleys and Berber villages, as well as panoramic
views of Mount Djbel Siroura at 3,500 metres, known as the gateway to the desert.
– After this break, we’ll begin the descent, which will take around two hours to return to the refuge. Once at the
refuge, we’ll have a chance to rest and enjoy a lunch prepared by our team.
– We’ll then descend to Marabout Sidi Chamharouch at 2,350 metres, where our team will welcome us with a
comforting cup of tea. After a nourishing meal to regain our strength, we continue our descent along a more
accessible trail to Imlil, where we celebrate our success.
(5 to 6 hours walking, ascent and 3 to 4 hours descent to Imlil)
– After breakfast in Imlil, we’ll have an early start to the day, heading for Rabat. This journey will allow us to
enjoy the varied scenery along the way.
– We’ll pause for lunch at a local restaurant on the way,
– On arrival in Rabat, we’ll start our visit at the Royal Palace, a magnificent royal residence surrounded by lush
gardens and historic walls.
– Next, we head to the Kasbah des Oudayas, an ancient fortified quarter overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Its
narrow streets and brightly-colored houses create a picturesque atmosphere.
– We’ll continue our tour with the Tour Hassan, an unfinished minaret that must once have been the largest in
the world. This emblematic monument, with its majestic columns and surrounding remains, bears witness to
the city’s past grandeur.
– After a day rich in discoveries, we’ll check into our hotel, for dinner and overnight
– After breakfast, we head to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, famous for its history and architecture.
Founded in the 11th century, it was the capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 17th century.
– On the way, admire the Moroccan landscape as it unfolds before your eyes.
– On arrival in Meknes, we’ll start by a visit of the Palace El Hdim, a magnificent gateway to the medina. This
historic palace is an excellent example of Merinid architecture and will immerse us in the lively atmosphere of
the quarter.
– Next, we head for Bab Mansour, one of Morocco’s most beautiful gateways, famous for its impressive
architecture and colorful mosaics. It’s an ideal place to take photos and admire Moroccan craftsmanship.
– We’ll also visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, a fascinating monument dedicated to the king who shaped
the history of Meknes.
– Lunch break in a local restaurant, After lunch, we continue our journey to Fez, Morocco’s spiritual capital and
oldest imperial city.
– On arrival in Fez, we will check into our hotel for dinner and overnight,
– After Breakfast, the morning is dedicated to discovering Fez, Starting from the Northern Borj, an ancient
16th-century fortress. From here, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the city, with its blue-tiled roofs and
narrow streets. to the Pottery and ceramics industry that trace their influences and origins to as early as the
Phoenicians.
– We’ll head for the old medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This district is a veritable labyrinth of
alleyways, filled with bustling souks.
– We’ll visit the Attarin Medersa, a beautiful Koranic school decorated with colorful mosaics, and the Al-
Karaouine University, founded in 859 and considered the oldest university still in operation. It’s a fascinating
place that bears witness to Fez’s importance in the world of education.
– For lunch, we’ll stop at a traditional restaurant in the medina.
– After lunch, we depart for Marrakech. The scenic route takes us from lush green fields to the Atlas Mountains.
– On arrival in Marrakech, we’ll check into our hotel. You’ll have some time to rest or explore the surrounding
area.
– Dinner and overnight
– Breakfast at your hotel, then enjoy a full day of exploring Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most vibrant cities.
– Start with a guided tour of the medina and its famous sights; The majestic Koutoubia Mosque and its
Garden, the Bahia Palace: the palace is known for its detailed mosaics, beautiful carvings, and stunning
courtyards. It shows the wealth and grandeur of Moroccan royal life and is the first major monument of
Morocco’s modern era., then continue through the alleys to reach the famous and beautiful Ben Youssef
Madrassa (Koranic school), a historically exceptional building and an eloquent witness to traditional art and
architecture.
– Guided visit of the site and back to the famous square and its bustling atmosphere.
– Time for lunch in a restaurant around the square.
– In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore Marrakech at your leisure or simply unwind at the hotel.

return flight.
